Rod Wolfe is the President and Principal of the Boise Metro area office of Murphy Business & Financial and Designated Broker for the State of Idaho. Rod has over 25 years of experience working with businesses to achieve their goals of growth, operational efficiency, and peak performance. His depth of experience is the result of senior level positions in finance and accounting including financial management of a thirty company international portfolio of manufacturing, logistics, and sales organizations, Vice President of Regional Development for a National Commercial Finance Company, and an Investment Services Adviser with a Global Commercial Real Estate Firm.

In addition to his practical experience directing dozens of successful mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions, Rod has earned advanced level certifications only available to the most experienced professionals in the M&A, Accounting, and Commercial Real Estate professions: Certified Merger & Acquisition Intermediary, Board Certified Intermediary, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Commercial Investment Member. Rod holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the prestigious College of Idaho and is a Master of Results for his clients.  Rod has recently completed the Certified Valuation Analyst education program with NACVA and successfully passed the required exam.

Rod has been married to Lisa, his best friend and lifelong partner, for over 27 years. They share their home with their mini-labradoodle, Buddy, who adores them without question, and a black manx rescue cat, B.B., who mostly ignores them. Rod enjoys running, cycling, and mountain biking, and has been known to participate in the sport of triathlon. He spends whatever time he can spare with Lisa, travelling, exploring, enjoying the great outdoors, tropical islands, and foreign lands.

David is currently a licensed real estate Associate Broker with MBFC of Southwest Idaho. He has over 25 years experience in commercial real estate sales and management. He grew up in Ventura County, California and graduated from UCLA with a BA degree in Political Science with an emphasis on Business. He has been a licensed real estate agent since 1992.

After graduating from college, he moved to the San Joaquin Valley in California for some family real estate development opportunities where he managed, leased and sold retail properties. While there, he also ran a successful campaign for city council and was the youngest city council member ever to be elected to serve in Porterville, California. 

In 1999 he moved his family to Boise, Idaho where he went to work selling and leasing office buildings with Coldwell Banker Commercial, Capitol Commercial Associates, where he formed many relationships, both with clients and other brokers. 

After four years of office brokerage, he had an opportunity to go to work for a large title company to take advantage of those relationships and was hired as a commercial escrow officer and account executive. Being a commercial escrow officer gave David tremendous insight as to the inner workings of closing commercial properties, medium to high-end businesses and the nuances of complicated 1031 tax deferred exchanges. 

After five years at the title company, where he closed over $150 million in transactions, David caught the entrepreneurial spirit and decided to go into business for himself. He purchased a franchise and has been involved with that for the past 5 years.

David lives in Boise with his wife and daughter and enjoys the outdoor lifestyle that Idaho affords, skiing, camping and spending time on the state’s beautiful lakes with his family.

Sheila Spangler, CVA, BCA, CBI

Sheila Spangler specializes in business sales, business valuation, buyer searches, negotiation, deal structure, and financing.  Prior to joining Murphy Business & Financial, she led her own business brokerage firm for several years.  Additionally, she founded and launched the Zions Bank Business Resource Center, and the Women’s Business Center, two business-consulting organizations focused on growth and capital access.  Additionally, she held the position of Vice President-Commercial Lender with several large banking institutions. During her 30-year career in finance as a business intermediary and commercial lender, Sheila originated and closed numerous SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, commercial real estate, and operating capital loans.

She holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and the Business Certified Appraiser (BCA) credential from the International Society of Business Appraisers.  She also earned the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association and the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential from the Association for Finance Professionals.  Additionally, she is an Idaho real estate broker. She has a master’s level degree from Pacific Coast Banking School, at the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boise State University.

Larry comes to Murphy Business and Financial after a successful 40-year career in Financial Services and Wealth Management. After finishing his degree in Accounting at the University of Idaho, he sold life insurance for Northwestern Mutual for 25 years; was a Wealth Advisor for Key Private Bank; Vice President of United Heritage Financial Services, Inc; and President/Owner of Nexus Wealth Management, Inc.

Larry worked with his clients as a part of their Business and Estate Advisory Team including their CPA, Tax Attorney, Banker and Trust Officer. They helped their clients formulate their Business Succession and Exit Plans with the focus on maximizing value to the client and their family while minimizing estate, income and transfer taxes. This included the passing/selling of their business to the next generation, to key employees or to outside purchasers.

Over the years, Larry earned the professional designations of (AEP) Accredited Estate Planner, (ChFC) Chartered Financial Consultant, (CLU) Chartered Life Underwriter and (CWS) Certified Wealth Strategist. He previously held FINRA Securities Licenses Series 6,7,63,26,24.

Larry also served as President of both the Idaho Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Financial Planning Association of Idaho. He has been a member of the Boise Estate Planning Council for over 30 years.

Larry comes from a family of business owners and understands their feelings, challenges, business issues and family concerns. Ken Bohenek is a business broker in the Coeur d’Alene, Idaho area for Murphy Business and Financial Corporation. As a former business owner Ken came to Murphy with a desire to assist other business professionals. Having been previously involved in the transfer of businesses within his family and friends, he recognized the importance of having a qualified broker involved. Ken comes from a family of entrepreneurs in businesses ranging from bars, restaurants and a plumbing & heating company established for over 38 years.

Neil Bradshaw is a Business Broker and Principal for MBFC of Southeast Idaho. Neil has more than 25 years of business experience from investment banking, project finance, equity analysis, business development and brand marketing. His business transaction experience ranges from the sale of utility projects to the sale of a consumer goods company.

Prior to joining Murphy, Neil was part-owner of a branded consumer goods company that targeted the outdoor market. Neil managed the business development and international sales for the company until its successful sale to Newell Brands.

Neil has lived in Idaho for more than 10 years. Prior to moving to Idaho, Neil lived in London where he was head of the JP Morgan’s Global Utilities Equity Research. Prior to this, Neil was as a director at Fieldstone Private Capital Group, where he was responsible for the financing and development of electricity and gas projects.  With Fieldstone, Neil was based in New York, then Kuala Lumpur and finally Johannesburg.

Neil started his career as a financial analyst for USL Capital in San Francisco where he specialized in the sale and leaseback of power projects.

Neil holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacture and Management from Birmingham University, UK and received an MBA while on scholarship to the University of Kansas. Neil is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Idaho.

When not working, Neil likes to ski the backcountry and climb the peaks of Idaho and beyond. Neil likes to golf when the snow has melted. Neil sits on various boards in his local community and is President of the Ketchum Innovation Centre, a non-profit dedicated to supporting and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
